In a bold step toward strengthening Turkey's influence in international handball, Turkish Handball Federation (THF) President Mesut Çebi has officially announced his candidacy for the Executive Committee of the European Handball Federation (EHF).
In his statement, President Çebi emphasized the significance of this move not just as a personal milestone, but as a strategic step forward for Turkish handball on the European stage:
'With the motto 'New Path, New Handball', I am honored to announce my candidacy for the European Handball Federation Executive Committee as the President of the Turkish Handball Federation. This candidacy is not merely about representation — it is a commitment to expand the influence of Turkish handball internationally.'
Çebi highlighted that this candidacy aims to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of Turkish athletes, clubs, referees, and officials within the European handball family:
'Our goal is to bring Turkey's potential, energy, and experience to the heart of European handball, contributing to its development while creating stronger partnerships, more joint projects, and a brighter future for the sport.'
He concluded by calling for unity and support from the Turkish sports community:
